Switch Board AI.

Reckon. Studio's voice AI engine. The platform underneath every conversational installation we build. Built to live inside an object, in a real venue, holding conversations for weeks at a time, without anyone hovering.

Voice in, story out Built for venues Privacy from day one
Live at Parktheater Eindhoven Switch Board AI inside P.I.M. 26 days · 613 conversations · the room listens back

An engine, not a chatbot.

Most voice AI today is a screen with microphone access. Switch Board AI is the opposite. It lives inside an object and runs a real conversation in real time. A rotary phone in a foyer. A vitrine that whispers when you lean in. A character at the front of a queue line. The engine lets a venue trust the experience and lets visitors forget there's any tech at all.

The product started life as a separate brand. Today it's a Reckon. Studio product, used wherever we deploy voice. Same engine, fewer logos, more place to put your name on the wall outside.

Real conversations, held safely.

A real-time conversation, not a turn-taking script. Tuned for natural pacing, with wideband audio so visitors hear a voice, not a robot. Every installation gets a persona designed with the venue: language, vocabulary, pacing, the topics that are allowed and the topics that aren't. Tuned with the people who know the space, not bolted on after.

Safe to leave running. Twenty-six days at Parktheater, six hundred and thirteen real visitors, zero content incidents. Privacy is wired in from the first second too: names and identifying details are stripped before anything is stored, and retention is short and configurable per venue.

The engine talks to the room. Hardware buttons, lights that respond to a conversation, sound cues, projection. A live dashboard surfaces themes, sentiments, and per-show or per-day patterns, and plugs into the audience research the venue already runs. Dutch and English in production today; German, French, and others on request.

Parktheater Eindhoven, P.I.M.

P.I.M. is the rotary-phone installation in the foyer of Parktheater Eindhoven. Visitors pick up the handset after a show and tell the theatre what stayed with them. Switch Board AI is the engine inside the pedestal.

Voice today. Sensing rooms tomorrow.

The same engine that handles voice extends naturally into ambient sensing. RFID-aware environments where objects know each other. Audio tours that adapt to who's listening and what they're asking. Lighting that responds to what's said. Animatronics that listen as well as speak. These are the directions the studio is moving, and Switch Board AI is the substrate.

Not all of it is shipped. Voice is. The rest is on our bench.

Switch Board AI doesn't ship alone.

The engine is licensed inside a Reckon. Studio installation engagement, not as a standalone download. The reason is honest: voice in a public venue is more than a model. It's the persona, the safety architecture, the hardware, the AV, the GDPR posture, the on-site reliability story. We build the whole installation or we don't take it on.

If you have a venue, an exhibition, or a launch where a voice installation might fit, lets@reckon.works.
